Air purification with biofilter system

Most factories and industries, in addition to producing polluting wastes, also cause air pollution by producing various types of gaseous pollutants. One of the most important air pollutants can be organic compounds (VOC3), regenerated compounds of nitrogen and sulfur, formaldehyde, phenolic compounds, highly volatile substances such as pentane and hexane, ethers, aldehydes, ketones, monocyclic aromatics, types of alcohols, etc. The most appropriate method for reducing air pollutants is biofilter, and this method is used in different countries. In order to remove or reduce any types of pollutants from the air with biofilter, it is necessary to collect the polluted air such as the air in the factory and halls by ducting and suction pumps and enter from below the biofilter and release the purified air from the top of the biofilter. Accordin to the volume of the polluted air, volume and size of biofilter is designed and produced and base on type of pollutant, special microorganisms are cultured and fixed on the biofilter bed. The polluting compounds are decomposed by passing through the microorganisms fixed in the biofilter and turn into harmless compounds.
