The process of reverse osmosis or water sweetening is a method to separate impurities from water. In this method, the separation factor is mechanical pressure. Currently, the reverse osmosis process plays a very important role in water purification.

This system is used in various industries, including medical, pharmaceutical, drinking water production, livestock, poultry, agricultural industries, chemical and electroplating industries.
In reverse osmosis water purification, raw water is pumped into a container that has a semi-permeable membrane. Due to the fact that almost only pure water can pass through the membrane, almost pure water is collected on one side of the membrane and water concentrated from impurities is collected on the other side of the membrane.
The RO water purification device can work continuously and has the ability to reduce the TDS of raw water by 95%. Removal of bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms using the reverse osmosis process is almost 100%. Also, reverse osmosis can remove 99% of minerals and 97% of organic and colloidal materials from water.
The preliminary purification of the water entering the reverse osmosis device is done in order to make the best use of the membranes and increase the working time of the membranes, and during this operation, the prepared water passes through the membranes.
